–Prioritizing Children as touchbearers….

” And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.”
(Zechariah 8:5)

Being a good leader is something you learn and perfect with diligence, compassion, persistence, and experience. Sir Siminalayi Fubara have it all. Constituting his own team and putting the right people in positions is yielding expected results.

Rivers State Government prioritize Children as the leaders of tomorrow, because they are the torchbearer of the future. Hence, celebrating them was on Top agenda as various events like quiz, debates, cultural programs like dance, music, and drama where put together to celebrate children residing in Port Harcourt Metropolis.

Today Rivers State Government celebrates Children irrespective of class, creed or religion with the theme ” For Every Child; Every Right” in the Government House ( Brick House). Everyone agrees playing is fun and the Bible speaks very highly of play. The Word of God associates joy and safety with play because Playing is a great sign of God’s blessing.

The Rivers State first Lady, Dame Valeria Siminalayi Fubara Gave the children a sense of belongings and ensuring their rights and welfare are protected in their respective homes. Also, Acknowledging the issues of child poverty, lack of access to education, healthcare, child labour, and child trafficking as prevalent factors that Governor Fubara administration is determine to address.

The Rivers State 2024 Universal Children’s Day was utilized to celebrate children for who they are, and to give Re-Newed Hope to children of all backgrounds around the globe; especially those who are suffering from physical and psychological trauma due to violence experience in forms of abuse,exploitation, and discrimination.
