POLICE REVEAL SECURITY MEASURES AHEAD OF EASTER CELEBRATION

The Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Command, CP. Olatunji Disu, psc, has issued a directive for the deployment of officers across the state to guarantee the safety of lives and property during the Easter celebration. This deployment comes as part of proactive measures to maintain peace and security during the festive period.

A statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP. Grace Iringe-Koko said, CP Disu has mandated all Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, and Divisional Police officers to deploy personnel and allocate resources to strategic locations within their jurisdictions. These designated areas include churches, parks, event centers, as well as entry and exit points across the state.

Additionally, officers deployed on the highways have been charged with the responsibility to uphold a heightened level of vigilance and professionalism while executing their duties.

The statement also highlighted that the Commissioner of Police extends his warm wishes to the residents of Rivers State, particularly the Christian community, on the occasion of the Easter celebration. He encourages Christians to offer prayers for divine protection and peace throughout the state.

CP Disu urged religious leaders, traditional rulers, parents, and guardians to counsel their followers, adherents, and wards against engaging in any form of unlawful activities during the festive period.
