The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has officially confirmed the appointment of former President of the Senate, Adolphus Wabara, as the substantive chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT). The announcement was made following the conclusion of the 76th BoT meeting held at Wadata Plaza in Abuja on Tuesday.
In addition to Wabara’s appointment, former Governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Makarfi, has been named as the BoT Secretary, taking over from former Minister of Special Duties, Kabir Turaki.
The decision to appoint Wabara and Makarfi to these key positions underscores the party’s commitment to strengthening its leadership structure and ensuring effective governance within its ranks.
