Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, confirmed President Tinubu’s commitment in a press release, emphasizing the President’s recognition of the problems facing the region and his determination to bring lasting solutions.
During a Tuesday meeting at the State House with the South-South Monarchs Forum, led by His Royal Majesty, Major-General Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd), President Tinubu underscored the diligent efforts, both domestic and international, being made to fortify Nigeria’s resilience against climate change. He emphasized the concurrent focus on environmental restoration, infrastructure development, and ensuring security and stability in the region.
Commending the monarchs for their understanding approach to ongoing economic reforms, particularly the removal of the fuel subsidy, President Tinubu assured Nigerians that the benefits of these tough decisions would soon become evident.
President Tinubu acknowledged the traditional institution’s significance as an intelligence source crucial for the holistic development of the country. He encouraged continuous communication and pledged to address each concern raised by the South-South Monarchs Forum.
