I welcome you to Rivers State as the 45th Commissioner of Police to be posted to our dear State.
As an enforcer of the law, you are already accustomed with the terrain of our beloved state, having served in various police posts in the past, so this is more like a home coming for you.
Your antecedents speak volumes of your personality, as one that is known to be a brutal crime fighter, so we have no doubt in your ability to fight criminals and to maintain law & order in our dear State.
As Rivers People, we welcome you and plead that you discharge the duties of your office professionally and in line with international best practices.
We humbly advice that you resist the urge of bringing your office to disrepute by engaging or involving yourself in the murky waters of Rivers State Politics. Do not allow yourself to be used as a tool for oppression, intimidation or harassment by anyone against perceived enemies.
As Rivers People, we won’t hesitate to resist you, and call for your redeployment & discipline, the moment we notice that your demeanor is tilting towards political partisanship and outright bias. We have done it in the past to those before you, we pray your stay in our State, doesn’t degenerate to those dark days that we’ve left behind us.
Kindly use your good office to represent the essence of what the law should be. Do not be an enhancer and promoter of everything that is wrong with the police system & those appointed to enforce it. Do not allow show of power, personal interest, favouritism instead of patriotic duty to lead you.
Any of your officers who go about extorting Innocent Rivers residents should not be shielded from disciplinary actions and possible dismissal for unprofessional conducts.
Dear CP TUNJI, please serve only the interest of Rivers State and Rivers people will join hands with you in making your stay the most memorable one ever.
Welcome to Rivers State once again Sir.
