His Excellency, Governor Fubara, stated in his inauguration speech that he would build upon the strong foundation his predecessor had already established. Consolidation and continuity would serve as the guiding principles. He would lead with unwavering determination, broadening socioeconomic prospects and diversifying the state’s economy while providing adequate growth protection.

After one hundred (100) days in office, the administration of Governor Fubara has accomplished a lot within the parameters of his development blueprint, and the people of Rivers are celebrating these milestones with the expectation of a better future.

The facility consists of four built and furnished separate buildings, the main one housing fifteen (15) dental surgery suites.

In all, there are three (3) operating filters for Ophthalmological services and ENT and Dental surgeries, Biochemistry and haematology laboratory and the High-dependency unit, the ENT laboratory and consulting rooms. The facility also has an emergency department with a theatre and recovery room.

The Professor Kelsey Harrison Memorial Hospital at Emenike Street, Diobu, Port Harcourt, is also finished. This is fully furnished with three stories and 87 beds for adults and newborns. There are two major operating rooms for various surgical operations, well-equipped emergency rooms, and electric beds installed to give expectant women emergency respite. This is in addition to the two-bed recovery unit and two-bed high-dependency facility that are already available.
