A woman in Agbonchia, Eleme poured hot water on her husband’s face following an argument over the sharing of community dividends.
The incident was intercepted by the Nchia security council and local youths.
The woman, originally from Akwa Ibom, also took her husband’s ATM card before attempting to escape. She was found hiding in her rooftop ceiling.
The case has been handed over to the Eleme police station for investigation, while the husband is receiving medical attention.
