In a major breakthrough, the police have apprehended five notorious criminals responsible for the recent surge in kidnappings and car snatching incidents along the D-Line axis of Port Harcourt. The arrests were made on October 12, 2023, following intensive investigations by the law enforcement authorities.
Confirming the operation, Police public relations officer Rivers state command, Grace Iringe-Koko assured that the Rivers state police command under CP Nwonyi Polycarp Emeka will continue to ensure adequate security for the state while respecting the fundamental human rights of the residents “this is to reaffirm that Rivers State is peaceful, and some of the hoodlums who committed the heinous crime,especially in the D/Line and Diobu axis—five of them—were arrested on 12/10/23 while investigations is ongoing”, she said
Residents can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that the police are actively working to maintain a safe environment in the state. Investigations are ongoing to dismantle any remaining criminal networks and ensure a lasting peace in the city.
