In Kogi State, a 17-year-old boy named Goodness Oshodi allegedly buried his 7-year-old brother, Friday Oshodi, alive after accusing him of stealing 1,000 Naira.
The incident took place in Apamsede, a suburb of Lokoja, on Wednesday. Goodness was caught by vigilante members who discovered the crime and reported it to the police.
The Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer confirmed the arrest of Goodness and stated that the investigation is ongoing.
According to the police, the victim had a history of stealing, and his mother had instructed his elder brother to punish him, leading to the grave consequences.
