…… Encourages youths to prepare for tomorrow by developing positive mindset and acquiring multiple skills today.
The Rivers state government has notified the youths of Oyigbo Local Government area of it’s preparedness to develop them in various skills, to make them employable and useful to the Society, the Commissioner of youths in Rivers State Hon Chisom Kenneth Gbali (PhD) stated this when he and his team paid a Grassroot sensitisation and advocacy visit to the LGA.

Hon Chisom notified the youths that the government of Sir Siminalyi Fubara takes the development of youths very serious and has concluded plans to train the youths in information and communication technology ICT, Vocational training and entrepreneurship training. He also stated that the government intends to give starter packs to the trainees after their successful training.

Dr Chisom encouraged the youths to prepare for tomorrow by channeling their minds towards positivity and acquiring multiple skills today, he also thanked the chairman of Oyigbo Local Government for his gaint strides in the development of the LGA and the youths.
Dr Obed-whyte permanent secretary of the Ministry of youths Rivers State and Mr Samuel Meibaka director of education and counseling took turns to talk to the youths on Mode of operation, registration, and elections in the ministry, while calling on the youths to shun social vices such as, use of illicit drugs, kidnapping, pipeline vandalism and internet fruad.

In his welcome address, the Executive Chairman of Oyigbo LGA, Hon. Elder Okechukwu Akara Nwaogu, welcomed the Hon Commissioner and his team, and highlighted his support to the youths of Oyigbo since being elected as Chairman of council.
