….. Sues for sustainance of peace amongst youths in Ahoada West LGA.
The Hon Commissioner of youths in Rivers State, Hon Chisom Kenneth Gbali (PhD) has notified the youths of Ahoada West on the preparedness of the administration of his Excellency Sir Siminalyi Fubara to empower Rivers youths with different skills to make them employable and self sufficient.
Hon Chisom stated this in a grassroot sensitisation and advocacy visit in Ahoada west LGA of Rivers State.
Hon Chisom stated that the state government has concluded plans to train Rivers youths in Information and Communication Technology ICT, Artificial intelligence AI, Vocational training and Entrepreneurship, he also stated that the state will also give starter packs to trainees and funding for entrepreneurs, while calling on the youths to remain peaceful and support government policies.
The permanent secretary of the ministry of youths Dr Obed Whyte, who was on the entourage of the commissioner, advised the youths to shun any form of criminal tendencies like pipeline vandalism, use of illicit drugs, kidnapping and cyber crime, but rather channel their energy into meaningful Ventures that will make them employable and useful to the society. He also outlined procedures for registering of youth organisations, Revalidation and operations.
On his part, Hon Hope Ikriko the Executive Chairman of Ahoada West, who was ably represented by his Vice Mrs Ubile Jack, Commended Hon Chisom and his team for coming, she further informed him and his delegation that the council under her Boss Hon Ikriko have invested in the areas of employment, scholarship and trainings all to better the lives of the youths.Follow us on social media
