The Sokoto state Press Secretary Abubakar Bawato on Monday, said the state government had set up panel to look into the activities of the past administration.
Gov. Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State after resuming office has set up a nine-man panel to review appointments made by predecessor few weeks before the expiration of his tenure.
It will also be recalled that Aliyu had on assumption of office suspended the appointments of some traditional rulers and the cancellation of the renaming of the tertiary institutions and dissolution of the governing boards of the state parastatals and agencies.
The nine-man panel includes Malami Dingyadi, former Police Affairs minister, Bature Shinkafi, Dr Kulu Abubakar, Isa Sadiq-Achida, Suleiman S/Fulani, and Dr Umar Yabo, among others.
The panel was saddled with the responsibility of reviewing appointments of some traditional rulers and the relocation and renaming of tertiary institutions, as well as the appointment of members of their Governing Councils by the past administration.
