His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara was on an inspection tour at the Andoni section of Opobo-Nkoro-Andoni Unity Road Project to assess the level of work done with some government functionaries, including the Executive Chairman of Andoni Local Government Area, Barr Erastus Awortu, and the Rivers state Commissioner for Works, Dr Alabo George-Kelly.

Responding to questions filled in by journalists, having seen the level of work done, Fubara reiterates the willingness of his administration in fulfilling all his electoral promises to the People of Andoni; he said “First of all in our campaign promises, we do pledge that security of life’s and properties is our major assignment “

” Recall that the Ogoni/Opobo/Nkoro/Andoni unity road project was initiated by the Dr Peter Odili administration, the immediate past administration also executed major parts of the project. We made a promise to Andoni people that this road will be delivered, and I can tell you that I intend to deliver it within the first year of my administration “,
” I can tell you that this section had been paid 100 percent, but what we are seeing here is still more than 45 percent job to be done.”

” We are left with one option. I think there is a big elephant on this road, we will remove the elephant just as Mr President did remove the elephant of subsidy “
” I just spoke with the commissioner to commence with the process of revoking the job , so that we can give the contract to a more serious contractor, we don’t mind what it will take.”

” We made a promise to Andoni people, and I can tell you here that we will deliver this project in our 100days in office”, he added.
Fubara with the zeal and eagerness to match words with action has directed the commissioner of work to commence process of revoking the job from it poor handlers to a more serious contractor for a speedy delivery of the overdue project, which have been earmarked for commissioning during his 100 days in office as the Governor of Rivers state.
