On Sunday, gunmen suspected of being cultists invaded Opouko community in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State , killing one Paul Torpie Nwimae, a musician, and injuring and robbing others at gunpoint.

According to an eyewitness, the attack occurred around 9 a.m. on Sunday (today) at a community sit-in.

Phone calls made to the council Chairman had not been responded to as of the filing of this report; however, the divisional police officer in Bori, SP Bako Angbashim, confirmed the killing and has stormed the community in an operation to apprehend the killers.
