The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has invited the former Minister of Niger Delta; Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio over alleged abuse of office and misappropriation of billions of naira.
In a letter sighted by “Daily Nigerian” the commission asked Mr Akpabio, who is also a senator-elect and top contender for the seat of Senate president, to appear at its headquarters in Abuja on May 9, 2023.
The commission had earlier invited him in March but his lawyer said he was unwell and could not make himself available.
