ARIOLU IMPACTS ON RUMUOMOI COMMUNITY

Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Barr George Ariolu has unveiled plans by his administration to construct a 6 school classroom blocks in Rumuomoi community to improve the standard of learning in the area.

Ariolu disclosed this during a visit by the leadership and critical stakeholders of Rumuomoi community at the Executive Chambers of the Council Headquarters, Rumuodomoya on Tuesday led by HRM Eze Lawrence Chinwo, Paramount Ruler Rumuomoi Community.

He said the decision follows requirements by the Rivers State Universal Basic Education (UBEC) Board to site schools in communities in Rivers State.

Similarly, He noted the classroom blocks will come alongside a fully functional standard borehole which will also be constructed by his administration. He said even though there is paucity of funds, his administration will continue to work to ensure the people get the dividends of democracy they deserve.
“This visit goes a long way to reiterate our resolve that governance is about the people. Democracy is all about the people and for us as a council we will continue to add value to the lives of our people. “

He further reiterated that while his administration continues to impact positively on the people, it is the sole responsibility of communities to collaborate with government pertaining to the development of education in the state.

CDC Chairman of Rumuomoi community, Dr Emeka Nkoro during an address on behalf of the delegation thanked the council boss for the irreversible progress achieved by his administration in the area, particularly in the education sector.

He used the occasion to commend the Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for the construction of Rumuomoi internal roads.
He also pointed that the construction of the 6 classroom block will help in fast tracking Rumuomoi community in the educational ranking of the state.

In his Vote Of Thanks, Eze Lawrence Chinwo, Paramount Ruler Rumuomoi Community, applauded the Chairman for his numerous contributions to the growth of Obio/ Akpor Local Government Area
