The Ruling All Progressive Congress have submitted the list of it gubernatorial candidates in the 2023 off-cycle gubernatorial elections scheduled for Saturday, November 11, according to the INEC calendar. The list includes Bayelsa, Kogi and Imo state.
The list was submitted to the electoral commission on Monday, April 17, as part of the guidelines in the build-up to the election.
The list contained the name of Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo state, who won the primary election as declared. He is bidding for a second term in Douglas House, the Imo state government house.
Meanwhile, Timipre Sylva the former minister of state for petroleum resources, was declared winner in the Bayelsa APC gubernatorial primary. He look forward to occupy Creek Haven and displace the incumbent Governor Douye Diri of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Also included in the list was Ahmed Ododo, who was also declared the winner in the APC primary election in Kogi state.
Ododo is Governor Yahaya Bello candidate who has been saddled with the responsibility of defeating Senator Dino Melaya of PDP and fustrating his ambition of occupying Lord Lugard’s House in Lokoja.
