Shell goes public on it interest to acquire Danish biogas Nature Energy firm for approximately $2 billion, with an intent of diversifying into low-carbon emission following global environmental advocacy and campaigns.
Nature Energy is a producer of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) from agricultural, industrial, and household wastes.
The GistNewsblog was reliable informed that Shell was second among other interested conglomerates bidding to possess the Denmark firm.
The deal was confirmed by Nature Energy, which currently owns and operates 14 biogas plants in Denmark and France.
With the new deal, Nature Energy and its 420 employees located in Europe and North America will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Shell, under its existing brand.
