Four members of a kidnap syndicate have been apprehended by Ogun state police command. They includes Ismaila Ibrahim 21yrs, Musa Muhammed 26yrs, Irekura Abu 43yrs and Okanlawon Muhammed 26yrs.
The suspects were said to be responsible for high profile kidnapping within Abeokuta area in Ogun State. According to Ogun State Police command spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi, the suspects were nabbed following intelligent reports and call from Ogun State Commissioner of Police Lanre Bankole to bring them to book.
Following preliminary investigation and confession by the arrested suspects, they were responsible for the abduction of one Bishop Oladimeji Joshua of Prayer City in Abeokuta and one Kafayat Jelili of Ogo titun area of Ibara Orile in September 2022.
Meanwhile, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, has ordered for a manhunt of the remaining gang members who are on the run. Weapon recovered from the hideout of the fleeing kidnappers includes two double barrel guns and one single barrel long gun.
