The FGN have suspended it plan to stop the presidential amnesty programme, this was contained in a statement issued by the programme media consultant, Donu Kogbara.
The decision was reached after the stakeholders express concern on the negative effects the unwarranted termination of the programme will have on the region.
Though the announcement was received with mixed reaction, as some are of the opinion that the Presidential Amnesty Programme need to be restructure and refocused to fulfil its original mandate.
Meanwhile, Major General Barry Tariye Ndiomu, the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme has thanked the Presidency for paying attention to the various issues raised by the stakeholders in the region to halt planned termination of the laudable programme.
