In fulfilment of the promise made earlier by the Executive Chairman of Eleme LGA, Chief Hon. Obarilomate Ollor that students of Eleme in all tertiary institutions will get bursary payment in the month of October. The payment have commenced on Monday, 24th of October.
Eleme students in all tertiary institutions have started getting the N50,000 bursary payment.
Speaking to press, Eleme council Boss said, “just like I said few months ago, we have done what is quite exceptional in this country by announcing the payment of N50,000 bursary payment to each student of Eleme. So many persons doubted it and were waiting to see if we will do it. Yes, it is quite a lot of money but I didn’t just wake up to say that, it was well thought out.
“So, I think the time has come, this is October and you can see that we were quite prophetic. As if we knew that ASUU will call off the strike by October, so everything just blends. Students should expect their bursary payment from this week.
A total of 1400 students in both private and public schools are expected to benefit from the bursary payment.
