The annual Oktoberfest, the world’s largest beer festival, kicked off on Saturday for the first time since 2019, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The event attracts over 6 million people including tourist from around the world to Munich.
Dieter Reiter the Mayor of Munich announced that 2022, Oktoberfest will run from September 17th to October 3rd, without any COVID-19 restrictions.
During the autumn festival held in Munich, Germany merrymakers sit at long tables to gulp beer, eat sausages, pork and listen to boogie bands.
