FUBARA APPLAUDS EMOHUA FOR POLITICAL CONSCIOUSNESS …seek more commitment

In continuation of the PVC sensitization rally across Rivers State, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Sir Siminalayi Fubara has applauded Emohua people for political consciousness, awareness and impressive performance in previous elections.

Fubara further charged the people not to rest on their oars, rather should intensify the efforts with renewed vigor and commitment to always remain at the top.

The gubernatorial candidate made this known during the PVC sensitization rally at Rumuji in Emohua LGA., emphasizing that whatever has been achieved so far can be improved upon because the potential to easily do so is visible.

Sir Fubara further stated the overwhelming relevance of Emohua in the politics of Rivers State, which has manifested in the LGA producing political heavyweights with state and national recognition, urging them to capitalize on this huge advantage to surpass the previous records during elections by focusing on making a loud statement with their votes come 2023.

He however charged them to remain in unity to ensure the sky becomes their starting point.

The PDP standard bearer took a swipe at a sect who made so much noise in 2019 running on the wings of ‘military might’, stressing that they will be more than disappointed in 2023 as it will not be business as usual as Rivers people are ready to roundly defeat them again.

The Chief of staff Government House, Chief Chukwuemeka Woke while giving his solidarity speech stated that PVC sensitization exercise is a continuous process which begins with registration via physical or online means to actual collection of PVC, and then knowing what to do with it on the very day. He charged those that have registered before to endeavour to pick their PVCs from INEC to maintain their eligibility because the BVAS machine does not allow manual accreditation.

Chief Woke stated further the need to engage Traditional rulers, Chiefs, CDC, Leaders and other stakeholders to champion the sensitization exercise at the community levels to increase awareness as PVC acquisition has a direct bearing with census figures and government impact on the people.

He also stated that it is time to accommodate members of other political parties whose structures have crumbled beyond repair.

President General of the Grassroot Development Initiative, Chief Bright Amaewhule in his remarks lauded the people of Emohua for the critical roles they played during the formative stages of GDI.

Earlier the executive chairman of Emohua LGA, Dr Chidi Lloyd said Emohua is home to GDI and as such will render total support for the pressure group at all times. He appreciated the President general for making GDI have a ubiquitous presence in Rivers State.

Hon. Lloyd assured the executive governor of Rivers State, Chief (Barr) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, the unflinching support that Emohua has for him.
