EMIR SUSPENDED IN ZAMFARA FOR TURBANING A TERRORIST

The government of Zamfara State have disassociated themselves from the coronation of a notorious wanted terrorist ring leader Adamu Yankuzo also known as Ada Aleru as Sarkin Fulani.

Gist was reliably informed through a press statement signed by the Secretary to Zamfara State government Kabiru Balarabe, that the Emir of Yandoton Daji, Aliyu Marafa have been suspended indefinitely for conferring a traditional title on a wanted terrorist.

It was gathered that the terrorist gang lead by Ada Aleru was responsible for several brutal attacks on communities in Kastina and Zamfara states.

The Secretary of the Emirate Council, Bello Yusuf tried to justify the decision of the coronation of Aleru on their desire to ensure peace in the emirate, and Tsafe Local Government Area and the state at large.

He also claimed that the conferment was done with the approval of the local and state government, a claim which the state government have openly debunked through a refutal notice to the public, when it dissociated itself from the alleged turbaning of a Sarkin Fulani by the Emir of Birnin Yandoto of Tsafe Local Government Area. And directed for suspension of Emir with immediate effect.

Following the twist in the Chieftaincy installation, Alhaji Mahe Garba Marafa, the younger brother of the Emir and district head of Yandoto have been appointed to oversee the affairs of the Emirate pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation to unravel the circumstances behind the coronation of the wanted terrorist.

The conferment of traditional titles to notorious terrorist kingpin is a clear indication that some northern monarchs are actually hand-in-glove with the bandits terrorising northern states.
