Defending champion of the Women African Cup of Nations, the Super Falcons of Nigeria are through to the 2022 WAFCON Semifinals after defeating Cameroon 1 nil at the Stade Mohammed V stadium, Casablanca Morocco.
The iintrigu-filled quarter finals match lived up to expectation with both teams creating chances, but it was the Nigerian who had the day as they scored the lone goal of the match via Ajibade 62nd minute header.
With this result the Super Falcons have booked automatic spot for the 2023 Women’s World Cup that will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
