Opobo Women Welfare Association ( OWWA) the Apex women body in Opobo kingdom which have been at the forefront of Community development since 1971, today 27th June embarked on a voter registration sensitization tour in the community and anti-vices campaign in primary and secondary schools in the community.

The incumbent President of OWWA Amaopu Orubo Felicia Pepple with her executives and women in the 14 sections of Opubo Ama marched in their colourful attire with placard on the street of Opobo to Comprehensive Secondary school Opobo Town and Opobo Primary school to sensitize pupils and students on the ills associated with bullying, cultism, drug abuse, teenage pregnancy.

Their placards displayed different inscriptions bothering on voter registration, bulling, Cultism, drug abuse and pregnancy among teenagers, and other social vices.

During their brief interface with the students of Comprehensive Secondary School Opobo town, the Principal of the Junior Secondary Mrs Ibiene Stewart appreciated the effort of Opobo Women Welfare Association in community development. She extolled the qualities of a virtuous woman, which have been repeatedly exhibited by the women of Opobo through their legacy projects and programmes in the community.
