Bukola Saraki, Pius Ayim, Liyel Imoke & Others In Ibadan For Crucial Reconcilation Meeting:

There was a frenzy in Ibadan the capital city of Oyo State today as Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stewards consisting of two former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Ayim Pius Ayim and others met for reconciliation meeting between aggrieved members in Oyo State and other parts of Nigeria.

The hour long meeting ensued in smiling faces which is an indication that the reconciliation meeting was a success. Many members of the PDP have one or two grievances that are leading to the defection of their members to other parties across Nigeria. Recently, two governors from the party defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), one from the North and the other from the South.

Through this reconciliation, many of the aggrieved members can now come together to address their grievances so that the party can move forward in the right direction and be able to plan ahead of 2023 election as a major opposition to the ruling party.

Recall that the Peoples Democratic Party has named former Senate President, Bukola Saraki as chairman of its six-member National Reconciliation Committee in November 2020. Other members of the committee were, Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Pius Ayim, former Governors Liyel Imoke (Cross River), Ibrahim Dankwambo (Gombe) and Ibrahim Shema (Katsina) and former House Minority Leader, Mulikat Akande.
